Huay Yang is a village about 4,5h from Bangkok. You go there by taxi or train all the way, or you take the airport shuttle to Hua Hin and then transfer to a taxi. The taxi is the fastest travel option for the moment, but they are about to build an express railway. There is also an airport in Hua Hin, about one and a half hours away, but taxi is the easiest choice. The cost for one way is about 4000-5000 baht, depending on if you need a car or van. There are several taxi companies. In the table below is contact information.
In Huay Yang most people travel by saleng or motorbike. A saleng is a motorbike with several seats attached. It is convenient when you are several people and it has a roof. Some people also rent a car, but the saleng or motorbike is good enough in the village. If you would like to travel farther, it is easiest to book a taxi, since they drive on the left side and the traffic is quite hectic.
Several taxi companies provide salengs, motorbikes and excursions. Book a saleng early in advance since they often are booked during high season. The excursions and mini-trips you can book when you are there.
