Nature Reserve Namtok Huai Yang National Park
You can take the motorbike to the national park and walk around in the jungle.
There you can see wild monkeys, perhaps a snake in the trees, but best of all swim with the fish
by the waterfalls.
Thap Sakae
You can take the saleng to Thap Sakae, a small city, and visit the café filled with yummy cakes.
It is an adventurous way getting there. It varies between jungle, beach view and country road.
There is also a big temple along the way.
Ban Krut and the cave Wat Khao Tham Ma Rong
If you continue from Thap Sakae, about the same distance, you will come to Ban Krut. There are restaurants at the beach and there is a temple high up on a mountain with a nice view. If you continue further south there is an exciting cave. There were loads of bats hanging from the ceiling. Be prepared for aggressive dogs on the way up to the cave.
Elephants in Kui Bury National Park
Approximately 90 min from Huay Yang, is Kui Bury National Park. There you can go on jeep-safari to watch wild elephants.
Phraya Nakhon Cave
Between Huay Yang and Hua Hin you find Phraya Nakhon Cave. You need to climb two mountains in order to reech the cave where the temple is situated. Many people wait for the perfect light, when the sun shines through the hole at the temple. It is a steep path that requires good shoes, but it has a fantastic view and you might see some monkeys on the way.
Koh Talu
Koh Talu is a paradise island that you have to visit. There are package tours to book. You take a taxi one hour south. There they serve breakfast. Then you will take a speedboat to an island and swap over to a snorkel boat. You snorkel at one place by a cave first and then you move on to another place. After that you go to Koh Talu and get a lunch buffet. The sand is completely white. You can stay in a bungalow overnight or return back with the crew. On the island there are turtles that you can visit.
Hua Hin - Black Mountain, Vana Nava and shopping
The three largest cities in Thailand are Bangkok, Phuket and Hua Hin. Hua Hin is about one and a half hour north with taxi. You can go there by train as well. Close to Hua Hin there are two waterparks; Vana Nava and Black Mountain. If you would like to make an outing for the day you can take a taxi to one of the waterparks, then continue to the big shopping mall Market Village in Hua Hin and finalize the day at the evening market by the mountains in Burma or the night market in Prachuap.
Ko Tao
Från Chumphon you can take a speedboat for two hours to Ko Tao. Ko Tao is the ultimate place for snorkeling and diving. You can go on a snorkeling boat for a whole day and snorkle at different places. The water is very clear and you can see lots of fish and coral reefs in deep water. If you are lucky you might get to swim with turtles. Here you can attend diving schools and get a diving certificate.
Bangkok
Most people that go to Huay Yang fly to Bangkok. Since the trip is quite long it is nice to stay in Bangkok one or several nights before or after the journey. Bangkok has a lot to offer, from beautiful temples to diverse shopping. You can try different kinds of food, for example crocodile. You can get a good price for very fancy hotels and feel extra luxurious. There are expensive brand stores but also cheap markets. The traffic is hectic and many people try a ride with a tuk-tuk, but there is also a skytrain above ground that makes access to the city easy and there are also walking paths above ground to reduce the traffic noise.
